The brief was to design two labels where the red and white wines worked well and interacted on a shelf together.
I had the idea to use two dancers and when they are sitting on the shelf next to each other it appears they are dancing together.
When I originally designed this the wines were named after Spanish male and female dancers but ended up being renamed to ‘The Leading Lady’ and ‘The Protagonist’ for trademark reasons. The client really liked the concept and it was still related to dancing and the stage, so it was adapted to the new name.
When on the shelf together, it appears the two characters are dancing together.
